I am a long-time resident of Solana Beach and Del Mar, where my late husband and I raised our three children. I've been active in a number of community organizations, and most recently served on the board of American Association of University Women. Since graduating from the University of Michigan, my professional life has been in the fields of teaching and public relations. I taught in public school, at UCSD Extension, and at the Stratford School of Dance, which I founded. My public relations work was primarily with arts and social service organizations, and have just retired as community relations director of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. Since I am mad about books (as well as the arts and travel), I am delighted to be associated with the Friends of the Library.
