Rew Carne

I grew up in Chicago and moved to Solana Beach in 1984.

My background is in finance.  After  receiving a B.A. in mathematics from Sweet Briar College (located in Virginia), I worked in the stock brokerage industry as a Registered Sales Assistant for approximately 40 years with several firms including Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities and Wachovia Securities.

Since retirement in 2001, I am enjoying time for golf, swimming, walking, working out, and taking piano lessons.  My volunteer activities have included La Mer Homeowners Association Board of Directors, St. Paul's Cathedral (San Diego) Altar Guild, Docent, and the Cathedral Investment Committee.

My daughter, Elinor, who lives in Mission Valley and works for Wawanesa Insurance as a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter.  She is a graduate of Whittier College.
